Dinner in the city
I'm meeting a friend for dinner on Thursday night, she's coming from Jersey City I'm coming from Long Island. Nothing fancy, we will both be in casual outfits. Dinner and lots of drinks. Any suggestions?

There's barely a dress code anymore for restaurants so don't even worry. What kind of food? Are you staying near penn?

American, Mexican, not in the mood for Italian. We can go anywhere but we are starting and ending at penn but will travel.

For Mexican, Mole in the West Village is great. Tiny, but great.
Great tableside guac

If you want good seafood (and an amazing lobster roll) Pearl is great too.
It's also in the West Village- on Cornelia Street
