Re: for those ladies 40 and over....
I just turned 35 but thanks to chemo I'm in menopause so I feel like an honorary member of the over 40 crowd.
And yes, most people can eat a d!ck.
Also, yes, the weight gain...I've put on a few pounds and nothing is working. Calorie counting. Weight Watchers. Neither method worked for me. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I'm seeing my surgical oncologist tomorrow and am going to ask for a referral to a registered dietitian who works with cancer patients that are post-treatment...maybe get some bloodwork done. Get clinical about this shit.

Re: for those ladies 40 and over....
Yes, yes, and yes. I will be 50 in two months.
I'm just less tolerable of bull$hit in general and try to distance myself from it. DH and I have friends that we have taken a step back from because we can't deal with older people acting like they are in junior high school. Who's not talking to who, who didn't invite me to their shindig so I'm not inviting them to mine.
I have to keep a leash on my tongue, almost told a girl on the LIRR the other day that the word "like" should not be spoken every other word. It's meaningless and just makes you sound stupid.
As for the body stuff, it's harder to keep weight off than it is to gain it. I gain it differently too, more in my muffin top and less in my boobs. Lets not talk about where my boobs are going.
Thanks to genetics, I have high blood pressure that needs medication to control, my cholesterol is creeping upwards, so I'll probably need meds for that too, and my A1C could be better. I'm in peri-menopause, and my moods are all over the place, just like my periods. Right now I don't like DH.
I had double knee replacements last October and I often wonder if I did the right thing. I couldn't walk because of bone on bone contact in both legs, but now after surgery, I still deal with swelling, ligament pain, the f**king clicking in both devices. Oh and the nerves in my knees haven't come back completely yet. Constant "tingly" feeling when something brushes against them. Makes me hate shaving my legs. The new knees only last 20-25 years, so I'll have to do this again.
On the good side, I look damn good for my age. I don't feel my age. Other than a couple of brown spots on my face, no wrinkles. That's the good part about my genetics. That and a good hair colorist.

I'm 46 and its not a normal day if I don't at least rip someone's head off at least once.
I also have severely increased anxiety, particularly in loud, crowded public places.

lol, oh thank you ladies, I feel so much better. I'm usually ok at work but find on the phone with companies and on the LIRR platform I almost hate people at times. I find myself going from 0-60 when talking with cable for ex. They must think I am such a witch, but really Im not lol

Re: for those ladies 40 and over....
Just turned 39 and I have been feeling this for a couple years already. Was told I'd most likely go through early menopause.
As of this year I have also gone through every deodorant under the sun because I actually smell when I sweat. This has never happened to me before. Dr. agreed, hormonal shifts. For Christ Sake!! BTW - Finally found one. Secret Gel definitely helps with hot flash sweating
I have zero tolerance for stupidity and I am quick to lose my temper. Which is really bad because I've always had a short fuse - now it's so much worse. I cannot deal with customer service of any kind - ever. DH has taken over all calls to CS for me lol
