Registering with TEACH
Figured I'd throw out a reminder that everyone needs to register with the latest system in teach during the month of your birthday. Just completed mine and selected inactive since I'm not currently teaching. Also wanted to give a word of advice that dh and I both had issues trying to do it using Chrome but we're able to register using Internet Explorer (even though it says right in the front page that chrome is supported )

Cant believe I found this post. I was just going to post a question :)
Question: I want to register for the first time. It states this application will be retired soon, should I still register?
also they ask info that I think is discriminator DOB ,SS before I am even hired. I feel uncomfortable giving that info

It's just the state system that's keeping track of your teacher license info. SSN and DOB are info you would be giving if hired anyway but this is just the state site.

but its illegal to ask someone this info prior to an interview and hire. Bothers me, Im not 25 yrs old

TEACH has nothing to do with interviews. It's the website the state uses to keep track of your certifications and development hours. Potential employees don't have access to your personal information on this site.
