NIPT testing locales in Great Neck area?

Howdy,

So I'm booked for NIPT at the LIJ Center for Maternal-Fetal Health in New Hyde Park in September, however they didn't have an appointment that fits my schedule until my 13.5 week mark. I'd prefer to be seen sooner for peace of mind. (12-14 weeks is the norm.)

Any recommends on alternative practices to call?

I'm using a midwife rather than an OB/GYN (Susan Brockmann of Southshore Midwives in Malverne. She's great!!!), and am still relatively new to the area, so would love 'your' tips.

Note that I don't have a car (yup...this one's a bike-riding, subway-hopping Brooklyn expat), so will need to be within reasonable bus-ing distance. (It takes me over an hour to bus it to Malverne.)

I'm in Great Neck near the LIRR station.

Thanks friendly board mamas!

:)

XOXOX

Hi. Congrats on your pregnancy! I was thinking about using Susan too, but it would cost a lot since she's not in my network.
Not sure where to go because my OB draws the blood for all the NIPTs, but mine was processed through Quest. I did materniT21. Maybe check if a Quest lab can draw your blood with a script from Susan?

ETA - the testing company you choose can probably tell you locations. I called both Maternit21 (Sequenom) and Panorama to compare their prices and they were very easy to get a customer rep on the phone.
