I dont get why she's not wearing makeup at all anymore. I agree, she doesnt look bad without it, but she's on a tv show now (The Voice) and personally I think she should have at least a little bit on.

Agree
She looks fine, cute, has good skin.
But you just look more finished and polished with make up on, no matter how great you look without it.
Especially on TV.
I mean, I think it's great that she CAN go without makeup. (I certainly can't!) But just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

She's actually talked about it quite a few times. Here are some quotes:
'I don't want to cover up anymore,' she wrote in her Lenny Letter essay. 'Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.'
Alicia said it felt 'really empowering' and 'really freeing' as she explained how she came upon the decision to go makeup-free.

'I love my lip gloss, I love my blush, I love my eyeliner,' she said. 'It's not about that. At the same time, I don't want to feel beholden — to have to do it.'
I really don't understand why people are going nuts over her not wearing it. I actually agree with what she's saying. Wish I was more comfortable to say f*ck what people think or say and go make up free. But I'm not. The guy I'm seeing always tells me how much he really likes my fresh face and I should wear it more. Rarely. And I mean RARELY will I even go out without mascara.

I think it's great she isn't wearing it. Why do it if you don't want to. If she wasn't a celeb no one would bat an eye.
I personally wear so much less than I used to. It's just a personal choice day by day. But When I want to get dressed up - i do.

I actually find it empowering TO wear make up.
I wear it for ME. Because I love the way it makes me look and feel.
Not everyone is blessed with good or even decent skin where no make up is even an option.
To each their own I guess.
I wish I had the option of no make up but sadly I don't and I am just glad I have an option to look presentable.

In a world where even the Kardashian dog spackles 12 gallons of bronzer on, I think it's refreshing to see a celeb's natural face. She also halpens to be beautiful without. It shows regular women if she can go without makeup being in the spotlight, so can we, and we don't need to cover up the face we were born with. I hope she sets a new standard of beauty. I used to never go out without the whole works on my face. One day I decided to stop. I only wear makeup once in a while for special occasions now. It's so freeing. It's nice to have the option now. She isn't telling other women not to wear makeup, she's saying, for her, she doesn't feel she should have to.

But why not? Why should she have to? I dont wear makeup every day, some days I do, some days I dont, some days its just a BB cream and mascara. I dont have great skin either, age spots and rosacea but *I'M* comfortable without it and IDGAF if I have makeup on or not or what anyone else things about it. I dont understand why she shouldn't?
Honestly, I dont even get why this is a discussion (not just on here). Who gives flying f&ck if one person doesn't wear makeup. I dont care what anyone does with their face, sparkle on makeup or dont. Not my face, not my opinion. Seriously, is this what society has come too? One person decides not to wear makeup, that it, NOT WEAR MAKEUP for F's sake and its national news and online debates for weeks.

This discussion just goes to show that as a women, you literally CANNOT win. It's really sad.
Personally, considering the way she looks without makeup, I think it should be a crime for her to ever wear any at all.

I am sitting at work today with just mascara on. And honestly I feel great about it. Is my skin flawless nope and I don't care.
Society has made us care and think we need to all ave flawless skin. None of us do!!!!
