Always something
Just got a call from my doctor. My thyroid levels are through the roof and they want me on synthoid immediately. They contacted my regular doctor who just called and told me my levels are concerning and he wants me to have a thyroid sono tomorrow. Per both Drs it will very likely affect getting pregnant unless we get it under control.

Re: Always something
i had same issue when I started the process but a lot of things on hold for almost 6 months.
it takes about that long for them to monitor the correct dosage of synthroid.
I've been on synthroid for almost 2 years now. all is good.
then once you finally get pregnant you need to get your levels checked again so they can increase dose to help with pregnancy

I feel for your frustration. I went through the same thing years ago when we discovered my thyroid was out of whack. Thankfully it didn't take too long to find the right dose. It was discovered in May 2012, I went for a thyroid uptake test that summer, and by September it was pretty much under control, shortly after, I started the IVF cycle that brought my my DS.

Thanks. Dr is going to proceed with the iui since I'm already on all the meds. Now dealing with this I know my chances are almost non existent this month so I'm upset but trying to remain positive.

Re: Always something
My thyroid was really high when I went in for my pre-pregnancy screening. My doctor decided to retest me and it ended up being within normal limits.
It came back high again once I was pregnant so I am on synthroid for my pregnancy.
