If I have a daughter she will be nameless

My mom had this issue with me. She had a name she loved but my dad hated it and vice versa. I think we were about to be discharged and the nurses really laid down the pressure. My mom's roommate had a magazine with a famous model on the cover. She took one look at it and went with it.
For my DC, we had names picked out pretty much right after we conceived them. We are TTCING for #3 and there is 1 name I haven't had the opportunity to use yet. I really pray that I have the opportunity.

my mom had no name picked for me. Like the poster above, the nurse told her they need a name for the birth certificated like, now, she picked a name out of thin air.

I was kind of relieved when I had DS on Wednesday for that exact reason. We had no names. We were toying with Maeve but there was nothing really said.

DD didn't have a name until the nurse came in to tell me we were being discharged and if we didn't choose a name, her birth certificate was going to say GIRL (LASTNAME). We finally agreed on a name and I couldn't love her name more.

That's so funny to me, since when we were discharged, the girl at my hospital just gave me her phone number and said to call as soon as we picked a name so she could fill in the paperwork. We were home for almost a week before we were able to decide and I called her. There was no problem.

Believe me, it was stressful as heck, but I can't imagine that pressure on the spot like that. I would have died.

We didn't agree on a girl name until she was 2 days old and we had to fill out the birth certificate because we were leaving the hospital!
