How long before you had your first prenatal visit?
Hi all! I just got my BFP, so I'll be calling in the morning to schedule my first visit. I'm wondering how long it was before you had your first visit?
Looking forward to chatting with you all- after 5 long years TTC, it's surreal that I'm actually pregnant lol

How long before you had your first prenatal visit?
Standard is 8 weeks. I was seeing a specialist so I had weekly blood work (more like 3x weekly blood work) and weekly ultrasounds once my beta hit 1500. I believe 1 day shy of 5 weeks. Doesn't hurt to call and see if they will give you a sooner appointment!

I wish I could call rsofny, I was a former paitent and I know they'd see me earlier, but I moved to FL last month! Talk about timing lol. Thanks, I'll call in the morning and see what they say

they had me come in at 6 for a "missed menses" appointment... basically taking their pregnancy test... and then they told me due date etc...and i had my first sonogram the next day then too...

Normally it's 8 weeks unless you have a history of losses. I had suffered an ectopic several months prior, so I was seen at 5 weeks in order to confirm that it was a viable pregnancy and not another ectopic.

How long before you had your first prenatal visit?
I went in to confirm pregnancy at 5 weeks 5 days but that's because I couldn't remember my last period. They did a u/still and we were able to hear heart beat. They then had me come back the following week to reconfirm pregnancy with another ultrasound.

same. i've also gone early due to bleeding.
if you have no concerns or history of complications, standard is 8 weeks. that's when they can usually see a heartbeat.

Thanks everyone! The doctor confirmed it as well. It was too early to see anything on the ultrasound (tech believes I'm only 4-5 weeks along), so I'm scheduled for betas on Monday and Wednesday. A second ultrasound will be done in 2 weeks!
