Hey, changing your underwear one week postpartum is a PROCESS!
There was sprays, creams, heavy duty maxi pads involved and sometimes bags of ice.

UGHHHH seriously!!!! I had a failed vaginal labor and ended up with a C, so I had the best of both worlds!!! I remember in the hospital, the day after he was born (and 4 days after my water broke), my mom and sister practically needed HAZMAT suits to clean me up, it was like a murder scene!

I'll never forget the nurse taking a newborn diaper out and I was like aw how cute, that's for DD, look how tiny it is. Then she filled it with ice. And I was like  . Then she put it on my vag.
I was sitting in a diaper of ice.
Then there was some nurses' aid who helped me go to the bathroom and she was loading up the maxi pads with the numbing cream and then putting the diaper of ice on- all while i was sitting there with everything hanging out. If you have a shred of dignity it is ALL out the window after you give birth.
And yes, I remember the murder scene too. I remember the poor janitor who had to come in my room with a mop to clean blood off the floor.
So embarrassing. Like I said. Dignity- GONE!

No hate! I gave birth on Tuesday afternoon and had my family over on Sunday for the pool. I drove to the store that morning myself and did all the food shopping.
And I wore my bathing suit.

You people are freaks of nature. 
I could barely walk straight for about a week after DS was born. I felt like my insides were going to come falling back out of my vaj. I cant even imagine getting into a bathing suit.

My labor and delivery with dd2 was amazing and 1 week out we were at the park with dd1. I did. Otnlook good and was all fat and funny still lol. But withdd1 and DS (child 3) inwas in so much pain I didn't move much. It really all depends on the delivery. Dd2 I was walking around target the day we got home from the he hospital lol

OMG - I had 2 sections and with my first, one of the most vivid things I remember was them wheeling me up to my room, placing a rubber mat underneath me and the nurse hosing me down down there. Even though I had a section, it was the most wonderful feeling after a failed 48-hour induction - LOL!

this thread is soooo funny.
it was a lifetime ago, but i remember the squirt bottle, the funny walk, being afraid to pee.
DS was in the NICU, 48 hours after giving birth i was riding the A train from 181 to St Vincent EVER.SINGLE.DAY. he was so little.

These comments are hilarious. I felt pretty good a week post c-section and remember taking DD for a walk. But, you could have seen my a$$ from a mile away. I was still huge!!!!!

I had 2 C-sections and with the first when I stood up for the the first time nobody warns you about the gush..I literally freaked and thought my insides fell out...It was horrifying. I felt like I looked like a deflated balloon that was left under the couch and was a baggy and wrinkly for at least the first 8 weeks.
