Having trouble breathing
Not all the time, I know it's because I'm getting bigger, but I get winded just from talking. I'm 24 weeks with twins. Uterus is measuring about 30 if it were a single pregnancy. Any tips? Should I try eating less? I notice it happens more after meals.

Re: Having trouble breathing
When I was pregnant with my son, I had this same thing! I went to the DR and they explained that all my organs were being pushed around because of the baby, and yes, after you eat, because your stomach (top of) is right around your lungs, it can give you this awful sensation.
I would ask your DR (they did like a breathing test to make sure everything else was ok) but it sounds like the same thing I had.

Re: Having trouble breathing
It also has to do with your body working harder. It's making more blood to feed the uterus and fetuses, and then your body is working harder to push the blood around your body.

Having trouble breathing
Totally normal. Stretching / yoga helped a little other than that taking it easy and time.

Re: Having trouble breathing
This has been happening to me and I'm only 15w with twins. I am convinced that they are sucking all the oxygen out of my blood lol. I teach, and I have been getting dizzy and gulping air when doing long read-alouds to kids.

Re: Having trouble breathing
I am also having that feeling after I eat sometimes, esp if I am wearing my maternity pants. It goes away after a while. I am sure it's just from my stomach being full.

Having trouble breathing
Thanks all!!! I am going to try and start breaking up my meals. I noticed at this point I can't even eat half a bagel without having trouble breathing or being extremely full so I'm just going to eat smaller portions more frequently. I have a good 10+ weeks I hope left to go so I need to figure something out!!! I'm just so hungry and can't get it all in! Lol

Re: Having trouble breathing
What happems(or what thy told me lol) was the babies push everything up. So your organs get pushed o into your lungs etc making it harder to breathe
Hang in there!
