Long shot but does anyone have one and if so, do you like it?

DD's rehab doctor prescribed her an adaptive stroller unfortunately none look like strollers, 'more like wheelchairs. I found this one and it looks like it has everything she needs plus actually looks like a stroller so I was looking for some feedback. Thanks!

One of my youngest residents has this- his 1:1 usually uses it for wake around the grounds. He also has other adaptive equipment. What specifically is the doctor looking for? What features are needed?

I did a lot of research an heard great things about the special tomato! Unfortunately I was limited by who was in network with my insurance company and could only get a convaid, which are very wheel chair like and super $$$$ even with insurance..

I wound up going with a McClaren major OOP which our physiatrist recomended. If your child is a baby/needs a lot of trunk support though it may not be a great choice. I think the special tomato is a great choice for a younger child.

Good luck. I hope you have an easier time navigating the insurance process than we did!

DD is 13 months and since she outgrew the infant car seat, we're having a hard time going out with her since she has low trunk tone and can't sit up well enough to go in a regular stroller unless we keep it completely reclined.

Her rehab doctor recommended a tilt and recline adaptive stroller. She doesn't have any other equipment but may possibly need a floor seat soon.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think a tilt and recline was probably recommended because it's most commonly used. I would speak to her doctor again about the stroller and specifically ask about fit and support to be sure they both meet the needs he has specifically identified. If both can meet her needs exactly the same I would go for the one you prefer!
