Walking dead 10/23/16 - SPOLIERS- Do not open if you havent seen it ;)

So what did everyone think?

Did you predict who died?

Am I the only one who was a little dissapointed at first that it was Abraham. I felt like all that suspense and it was only him. I know I am horrible.

Of course when Glenn died I was more satisfied but upset about it. Though I am just glad it wasn't daryl

Loved it!

I figured it was them two. Was not surprised but cried like a baby

The part with Carl. That threw me for a loop bc of the comics (even enough the governor is the one who does it to rick) I thought they were going to change it up

I posted on the other thread that I thought it was way too much for me. I'm chicken shit when it comes to violence, blood, and gore but tonight may have been my breaking point, for me personally.

I thought it was going to Maggie or Glenn but wasn't sure who else. Poor Glenn. He was one of my favorites. When he was still trying to talk,that killed me.

I was disappointed it was Abraham because I feel like he just doesn't mean as much to the viewers, so to wait that long and have it be Abraham was like...seriously?! But then they took Glenn too, which didn't really surprise me. I was more surprised and bothered by Rick almost chopping off Carl's arm.

The episode definitely had me uncomfortable the entire time I watched but I feel like I wasn't as invested after that cliffhanger. Still think they went about it the wrong way. I feel like they killed 2 people because they needed the shock value after making everyone wait so long.

OMG...I literally screamed at the TV. Abraham I had a feeling and it was sad and brutal. But then Glenn..I knew it was coming..when I saw the camera angle..I screamed omg he is gonna kill Glenn!!! The whole scene was so much gore...I always thought Opies death scene on SOA was horrible. Well this blew it away!! Poor Glenn, my heart breaks for Maggie!! And then with Carl saying go ahead dad just do it...I literally couldn't stop crying. This season is going to be an emotional rollercoaster!!

DH and I assumed Glenn, he dies exactly the same way in the comic. And I figured they would follow that. Abraham I was completely caught off guard...I remember Michael Cudlitz on Saved by the Bell and 90210 LOL Both of their deaths were devastating and Rick is completely going to lose it.

DH isn't a fan of JDM as Negan - he thinks he's playing it too fake. He's like, it's a zombie apocalypse and this guy is in a leather moto jacket looking like a hipster LOL

OMG I could not fall asleep for 2 hours after watching this episode. And I had to leave the room when I thought Carl's arm was going to get chopped off by Rick.

I thought Glenn was going to die but was not expecting 2... that was brutal...

I liked Abraham too though.

It was AMAZING!!! SO intense, SO brutal, SO sad. Fantastic season opener!!!!

It's become an even more interesting show the past few seasons. It started out as just a "zombie show" and it was all about the "walkers" but now, it's really an interesting look at what happens when society falls apart. It's about the deterioration of humanity, compassion, society, and the human spirit. It's gotten so much darker season after season, it reminds me more of the dismal overtones in the book (and movie), "The Road". There use to be so much more hope when they all first met up, they thought they would be able to survive in this new reality but it's really interesting to see how the characters have changed, evolved, and even broken down into people they would never have imagined.

Such a GREAT show!!! Can't wait for next week!!!

They should have killed Abraham at the end of last season so everyone thought the killing was over. And then killed Glen at the beginning of this episode. Would have been much more impactful because everyone would have thought the killing was over and everyone else was safe.

But hey, what do I know.

I literally could not sleep for hours after that episode, I felt so sad for Maggie. & I could have done without watching the skulls get cracked. The sounds were enough for me. I'm just so sadddddd. Even today, I feel so bummed. Glen was such a survivor, one of the originals. I feel so sad he had to go at the hands of another human. & when he said "Maggie, I'll find you". I can't

I'm surprised how many were surprised by Glen's death

His death is crucial to Maggie's storyline. I didn't think the show would ignore that

And after Abraham let that thing slip on Twitter a few months ago I knew it had to be him

I covered my eyes for half the show it was intense! Im such a fan of the actor who plays Negan its hard for me to hate him. Lol. Awesome opener though

Great show!

I really hated that they left it at a cliffhanger though, and agreed that it just didn't have the same impact as if you had been watching all along and were really into it.
DH and I watched the last episode of the previous season right beforehand to get back into the overall mood and it really helped.

I was not surprised that it was Glenn, although it was upsetting because he's such a good guy. I am really looking forward to seeing where this season is going to go though, and what this does to Maggie.. and especially Rick

just don't anyone dare do anything to Darryl!!

I had a feeling it was Abraham at the end of last season. Because he wanted to start a family. LOL
I LOVED that he said "suck my nuts" to Negan. LOVED it. It was so in character. lol

With Glenn, I thought at the end of last season it might be him because of the predictions and comic etc... BUT in last nights episode when Daryl hit Negan- I thought it was FOR SURE going to be Daryl to be killed too. When Negan hit Glenn I actually gasped. lol
Glenn with his eye bulging and trying to speak to Maggie broke my heart.
I really enjoyed the entire episode. I think JDM who plays Negan is an AWESOME actor. And my goodness... what a handsome man.

I loved it! So intense. It was heartbreaking and gory and insane, and that's why I love the show. I was totally sobbing at the end. Thank God for The Talking Dead - it was therapeutic!
