How do you make your stuffing?
I love my mom's traditional sausage stuffing, but am going to a friendsgiving this weekend and was asked to bring stuffing. Thinking of trying something new!

Doctored Stove Top.
I add sauteed onions celery, mushrooms and sausage. Bake it in a greased baking dish to get the crunchy bottom.

How do you make your stuffing?
I sweat down onions, celery and add mushrooms all in butter. I then add in fresh herbs and ground sausage meat until browned. I deglaze the pan with sherry or red wine, add some low-sodium broth and stuffing cubes (I mix country style with cornbread)
I just made some the other night because I brined a chicken and DH ate almost the whole pan of stuffing

I make my great aunt's ricotta stuffing. It's bread, salami, ricotta, mozzarella and basil. It's one of my absolute favorite Thanksgiving side dishes.

for those who make pioneer woman, her recipe calls for cream cheese, I bought sour cream not thinking I was going to follow her recipe.
can I sub the sour cream for cream cheese. Thought?

IMHO, they're completely different and I wouldn't substitute sour cream for cream cheese.

IMHO, they're completely different and I wouldn't substitute sour cream for cream cheese.

I was looking at the Pioneer Woman's stuffing recipe- I don't see any with cream cheese in it.
Which recipe calls for cream cheese??
