When did you start taking prenatal's?
I know some people start even before they are preg..just curious as to when you guys started..since my appt isn't until my 10 week mark!
I have not started them yet

When did you start taking prenatal's?
I started after my 1st appointment at 8-9 weeks. I didn't start before then.

My doctor told me to start taking them when we started trying, so i already had the folic acid "in my system" when i did in fact get Pregnant
ETA - you don't have to wait until the doctor appt, you can take OTC ones now. I just take OTC ones. either way, it can't hurt

When did you start taking prenatal's?
The folic acid is most important in the first trimester if I remember correctly so I would start right away. I took them while I was ttc.

3 mths before conception. Folic Acid is crucial during the first 13 weeks. Please go get an over the counter one now with FA.

OB/GYN usually tell you to start taking them when you are TTC because chances of neural tube deficits are increased when the mother doesn't have a good supply of follic acid already in her system.
You should start them now. Even if it's an OTC gummy.

I started months before getting pg due to a scare with spina bifida in my previous pregnancy. Ir is recommended you take a vitamin with folic acid prior to pregnancy so at least get an OTC prenatal and start taking it today.

I take rainbow light prenatals. Regular vitamins bother my stomach, os I was afraid too.
I started with gummies, but then saw that there wasn't "everything" in it. I am sure they are jsut as good, but i switched to Rainbow light, there is a vegetable coating or something like that so it doesn't bother your stomach. I haven't had a problem yet with these.
but if you are in doubt, i would start with the gummies. Vita Fusion makes them. They are good.

Always take vitamins- whether you are pregnant or not- on a full stomach.
That is HUGE.
So many people take their vits when they wake up in the morning. no good.
Anything with Zinc will make you puke on an empty stomach. I've been there.

It's recommended to be on prenatals at least 3 months before getting pregnant. You should start them ASAP.

I started as soon as I got my BFP! And I still take them now- 7 months PP as I'm breastfeeding.
ETA: I take the VitaFusion Prenatals with DHA and they are so delicious. I have to limit myself to 2 a day.

I was taking them on and off during the time we were trying for the baby. But I had not taking them in a month before I found out I was PG. That day, I started taking them every day. I take it before bed so I don't forget.
