SESIS backpay- updated
just heard about this! I switched to LI this year, but I'm curious to see if I'm entitled to any $$ !!

Yes I went on between the hours of 7 and 8am almost every morning. I was told I am going to receive a check for my time, but they will have more info by next Friday for me. Even though I am not a DOE employee anymore, I worked there during the time this lawsuit was happening

I'm so freaking excited about this! I wonder how much money I will get. Apparently this happened back in 2012 and some teachers I know got a couple of grand!
Does anyone know when the projected date for disbursement will be?

Does anyone know when the projected date for disbursement will be?
The UFT rep that I spoke to last week told me to call back this Friday and he will have more info regarding the approx amount of $$ I should expect, when I should expect it, etc.

Most recent update as of last week: As of right now we are still awaiting the final info on the who and when.

apparently, they decided to split 33 mil evenly. Should be around 1k each.. no info on when we get it though

Dang. I feel like I would have gotten more if they gave per hour. Not that I'm complaining, $1,000 is a nice chunk of change

yea i feel the same way, but money is money! I think i would've gotten like 5x that amount based on how much I was on

never updated, but I'm assuming you all got the email about a month ago? We will all be getting SESIS money based on our average weekly use, both in and outside of school hours. We will get paid in Sept, and it will be anywhere from $50 to more than $10,000 depending on your weekly usage. We should be getting an e-mail before then with more detailed information. I'm curious to see how much we get!

Yes, I did get that email and I can't wait to find out how much I'm getting back! I believe it said we'd get the money in September.
yeah we will be paid in sept, but the e-mail said we would also get another email before then with more details on how much money we will be getting. I would think the check will be at the end of sept, since our paychecks are already in through sept 1
