Steakhouse - NYC HELP!
DH's birthday is Saturday and we are going to a concert at MSG. I totally forgot to make a reservation for dinner! I am looking for a steakhouse, not too far from MSG (and definitely no where near the tree - we did that last weekend and do not want to get caught up in the craziness again). DH is not a big fan of going into the city as it is, so trying to keep it as close to MSG as possible and still be a good restaurant
Looking on OpenTable, I see Statler Grill, Frankie & Johnnie's and Staghorn Steakhouse. Any input on these or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Uncle Jack's on 9th is walking distance
Keen's on West 36th
If you want REALLY close- like in the building kind of close, Nick and Stef's is right there.
It's ok, not as good as the other 2.
Avoid Stalter Grill- it's a dump

It's ok, not as good as the other 2.

Glad to know Statler's is a dump - will try one of the other ones

Glad to know Statler's is a dump - will try one of the other ones
Try calling if you haven't- sometimes they have more availability than Open Table shows.
Also, they might get cancellations.

What about Pennsylvania 6. Not a steak house but a nice place and the food is good. Its on 31st between 6 & 7

We wound up going to Strip House - thanks for the recommendation. DH loved it! (so did I). From the moment we walked in the door, the service was excellent and every person we encountered was so friendly. The food was delicious too. It worked out perfectly! Thanks!
