When did you start to work on the nursery?

Someone asked me this the other day. I actually laughed out loud. I'm only 14 weeks and dont even plan on thinking about this until maybe I'm 6/7 months.

When did you start to work on the nursery?

With my kids I had an idea early on of what I wanted but I didn't even start buying or working on it until around 6-ish months.

Re: When did you start to work on the nursery?

We didn't buy our home until January and I was due at the end of April. We were already painting and installing new flooring so that was all done before we moved in, the last week in February. The furniture was delivered when I was about 35 weeks, just when I started maternity leave. I started decorating and washing baby clothes once DH put everything together. I finished everything when I was maybe 38 weeks along. I was so done by then and hoping baby arrived early. Chat Icon She didn't!

Re: When did you start to work on the nursery?

After I found out the sex from my amnio
That was late January/early February and DH probably started taking things out of the room etc, ripping up the old rug and prepping the walls in March.
He didn't paint until April and set up the furniture in May

She was born late June

Re: When did you start to work on the nursery?

We'll be moving a month after she's born (ugh I know bad such wonderful timing), so she won't have an official nursery until after she's born. But we are planning on having her own little space in our bedroom for that time we're still here, and won't work on that until April (due in June)

When did you start to work on the nursery?

Shortly after we found out what we were having. My house was under construction so we had the walls painted, new carpet installed and the closet updated. I was around 30+ weeks when we did all the furniture and decorations.

This baby is moving into the old nursery. I just have to empty my office so we can paint it and move Dd#1 in.

That stinks! But it'll be fine! DD didn't sleep in her room until she was almost 5 months. She was in a bassinet in our room before that.

Re: When did you start to work on the nursery?

i found out gender at 20 weeks. we started figuring out decor etc then.
I am 33 weeks now, and we JUST finished everything in there. by everything i mean - we installed high hats, painted and installed the closet system. still no furniture. we are honestly just happy everything is done before my shower so we have a place to put things for now hahaha

I guess I started buying the furniture around 5mo and getting serious about painting and putting it together around 6mo. @14 weeks I was still praying to stop puking and trying to find clothes that hid my belly at work!

Re: When did you start to work on the nursery?

We closed on our house on a Tuesday and got BFP on that Saturday. We were already ripping everything out of the house (carpets, tile, appliances, etc.) and started fresh so in our case, it was basically right away. I knew I wanted gray paint for the nursery whether it was a boy or girl so that was easy. I obviously didn't pick accent colors or bedding until I knew the sex, and that was at 16 weeks.
