I am about as anti-Trump as you can get but I don't think this is 100% accurate. From what I have read, I don't believe he ran the EO by the DOJ or DHS, which I absolutely believe he should have, but I read he had at least some legal input from Judge Michael Mukasey and a "group of very expert lawyers" per Guiliani:

Everything I've heard and read has said that he is not following the usual legal channels. Additionally, the article outlines that he signed the order while it was actually BEING reviewed. He's rushing these out without even making sure they're legal!

Forgive me if this sounds dumb, but isn't that good?? Doesn't that mean this will be able to be overturned faster, and possibly lead to a better case of impeachment and getting him voted the hell out.. not that I feel pence is any better, actually..

My husband asked the same thing (he can't vote here) and from what I have heard, courts are fearful of challenging him so while maybe some do get thrown out it's very possible that many of these will remain.

OK so theoretically yes (and you don't sound dumb.) But what mrsrainbow said is right, and an immigration attorney I know very well (and who has been doing this for decades) agreed. Courts are hesitant to limit presidential power in any capacity. Also, in the meantime while waiting for the judicial system, lies are being ruined right? And we're being bombarded with these EOs almost as a way to exhaust us so that we fatigue and can't fight back, or our attention is too split to fight everything.

Well that is very scary. I did think it was going to take a long time and be terrible while we waited, but I thought him making "mistakes" would speed up the process  .. I am seeing how he's doing so much at once so that we lose sight of the "little" things, there is just too much to focus on. I feel that nobody is talking about Devos any longer and that's supposed to be happening in the next coming days. I never thought I would be afraid of a president and I'm scared each day what will happen next.

And with Bannon basically running the show, he has absolutely zero consequences. Absolutely worse case scenario for Bannon is for trump to get impeached. If that happens, Bannon goes back to his normal life with an extra few hundred million in his pocket..... So he's going to push anything and everything he can, and see what sticks.
