Local political concerns
Specifically peter king and lee zeldin.
Peter king deletes and blocks anyone who comments on his Facebook who does not agree with him. He has also made antagonistic and rude comments about people who do not support him or his agenda.
Lee zeldin appears to have followed in kings footsteps and posted yesterday that Hillary supporters have lost their minds.
I post this in case anyone has not been following our local congressmen for whatever reason and were unaware of their thoughts and actions. Sometimes change has to start more locally. 2018 can't come soon enough.

You can add Flanagan to that list too. He has deleted a bunch of my friends and blocked them from voicing their opinions against DeVos. Shameful.

These are the men and women elected to represent US, every day, and we can't let them forget that we are watching their every move like a hawk. King is pretty much out of here anyway, but Zeldin and Flanagan should be shutting up and staying off social media if their poor egos can't handle it.

You would think they wouldn't want to alienate their constituents, even though they may not align politically in hopes to get support in future elections. I guess their massive egos get in the way of that.

Yes. I have seen this going on too. There are protests planned at King and Flanagan's offices.
I met with Flanagan years ago on an issue relating to my field and he struck me as having a big ego/pretty boy persona and being very phony. I will be at the protest against his support of DeVos as he is my rep. I can post the info on these events if anyone wants to attend.

So someone had spoken to Peter kings office earlier today and was told that they would meet with a few constituents at his office in massapequa at 3:30/3:45 however when they arrived, the office was closed and everyone left for the day. What a coward!

I'm so baffled by the backing of DeVos. Like, is this really the hill they want to die on? There has been bipartisan outrage.
