SCH in pregnancy

Hi Ladies,

I was in the hospital again last night and back at the doctors for a sono this afternoon for bad bleeding again.

Turns out I do have an SCH (hematoma) that's why I was bleeding but it's really small they aren't too concerned with that. Babies are all good and have three heartbeats, but baby C is still behind and beginning to fall a little behind. It's a week behind now. In the past it was only 3 or 4 days behind. So they are watching and waiting to see what will happen and how that plays out.

She wants me to go on bed rest tomorrow and just leave my feet up. I can try and see how I'm feeling for work on Friday. So scary but thank you ladies for telling me about the SCH! I researched it and asked the doctors about it.

Eventually they found it but thank you all for telling me about this so I could be informed of it!!Chat Icon

Many prayers and well wishes!!! It's very very common, especially with multiple pregnancies. I bled for 2 weeks with it. Best thing was bed rest. Also with multiples, don't worry so much about the growth until it's very off like 2 weeks- as they grow, it's VERY hard to measure them sometimes due to the position they are in. Hang in there!!!

At one point due to positioning I believe maybe 16 weeks? Baby B was like 9 days behind baby A. At 19 weeks baby B was bigger. It's all due to position. When I had my c section I was at the doctors 3 hours before, on the ultrasound baby B had shown growth, baby A didn't. Baby B came out 2lbs smaller and had growth restriction that wasn't seen on the ultrasound, again due to positioning and with multiples measuring them as they get larger is a pain, especially when their positions are awkward all was fine with both my babies, my baby with growth restriction has now grown leaps and bounds after he was born and gained 2lbs in 3 weeks. I was told it's concerning when growth is like 2 weeks off so your next scan, baby c could be measuring them same if he/she was in an awkward position last scan

Thank you for sharing the stories of your babies. It is really comforting knowing someone who went through the same thing! And yes baby c was in an awkward position yesterday, all Squashed and all. So yes they are watching the growth closely just to make sure. But thank you for sharing your experiences with this! Chat Icon Chat Icon
