IBS question
its tough, diet, see what triggers his episodes, exercise, stay hydrated. See what stress factors are playing a role. If he can stay away from medication, do so. Hope he feels better

it's all trial and error but once he has it figured out, it'll be easier to keep under some control

Sometimes a good probiotic is helpful as well.

This did wonders for SO.
Working out and diet makes a huge difference for both of us (and we have opposite types of IBS.) We eliminated dairy, whole grains, sugar (aside from fruit), soy and it makes a world of difference. It sounds hard to eat that way but once you feel the impact it makes you want to eat like that.
