Re: Trump's response when questioned directly about anti-semitism and JCC bomb threats, as well as Israel:

He absolutely should have addressed the reporters question- but I think he didn't because he is rude and angry at the press and didn't like the style of question and not because he is an antisemite.

It blows my mind that Jews voted for Obama- there were many signs that he didnt support Israel and his parting blows of the Iran deal and then the UN resolution confirmed it. I don't see how Trump can be conceived as antisemitic compared to Obama. Netanyahu had to BEG congress to not approve the Iran deal- it was pathetic how obviously dangerous the deal was to Israel. Hillary likely would have continued his policies.

I trust israels leader when he was terrified of Obamas policies - and he blatantly is thrilled to have Trump in office that Trump is not an antisemite. Is Trump obnoxious and a terrible speaker? Yes. Antisemitic- nope.

Really tired of the... well Hillary probably would have... line. She lost. She's irrelevant. Move on please.

Trump's response when questioned directly about anti-semitism and JCC bomb threats, as well as Israel:

He was asked a second time after rudely interrupting the reporter and not answering his question. That time his response was that his opponents are the ones drawing antisemitic pictures to make him look bad.

When asked by another reporter what he would do about it he said improve education, improve the inner cities, and get rid of crime altogether.

Re: Trump's response when questioned directly about anti-semitism and JCC bomb threats, as well as Israel:

Reporter whom Trump told to sit down at press conference is being interviewed on tv right now and said he has covered Trump for two years and he said the orthodox Jewish community does NOT think he is antisemitic- that Trump has worked very hard to reach out to their community. He said that when Trump told him to sit down - he interpreted it as Trump being passionate about fighting anti-semitism and it made him feel hopeful that the president was committed to showing how strongly he opposes antisemtism.

He's certainly entitled to his opinion and he clearly started his question by stating he doesn't find Trump or his administration to be antisemitic. The problem was at first he didn't answer the question at all and acted like he WAS accused personally of being antisemitic. The second time he was asked he simply blamed the rise on his opponents trying to make him look bad. If you or the reporter don't want to take offense to that that's up to you but I find it horrifying.

And directly following that comment from Netanyahu:

"And finally, if I can respond to something that I know from personal experience. I’ve known President Trump for many years, and to allude to him, or to his people -- his team, some of whom I’ve known for many years, too. Can I reveal, Jared, how long we’ve known you? (Laughter.) Well, he was never small. He was always big. He was always tall.

But I’ve known the President and I’ve known his family and his team for a long time, and there is no greater supporter of the Jewish people and the Jewish state than President Donald Trump. I think we should put that to rest."

I don't give a flying **** what Netanyahu said. The president of THIS COUNTRY was asked to respond to threats IN THIS COUNTRY against Jews IN THIS COUNTRY.

And he didn't.

Actually, that's not what he was asked. This was the question:

And I wonder what you say to those among the Jewish community in the States, and in Israel, and maybe around the world who believe and feel that your administration is playing with xenophobia and maybe racist tones.

He was not asked how he felt about those specific incidents he was asked about his administrations role in those anti-Semitic attacks. And btw, I don't see any direct mention of the bomb threats against the JCCs so I am not sure why you expected him to address that directly.

And my opinion is that if you read the entire interview a lot of his answers were very good and on point.

Are you a Jew?

Are you for real asking me that question? No, I'm a member of the KKK. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My father was Jewish (he is deceased) and my husband is Jewish. Is that Jewish enough for you? I am personally a non practicing Catholic, but I am not sure what that has to do with anything.

How difficult is it for Trump or anyone in his administration to denounce antisemitism? IT'S NOT AT ALL. The fact that he hasn't especially with the rise in antisemitism and his presidency is plagued with it is very troubling. The WH purposely didn't acknowledge the tremendous loss of Jews on Holocaust Remembrance Day. It's a very telling pattern and their actions or lack thereof speaks volumes.

When Trump says he's the least antisemitic person or least racist person, is he admitting that HE IS antisemitic and racist, but just not as much as the people around him or that he knows? If he's not, why doesn't he just say I'M NOT instead of saying "the least". Chat Icon Chat Icon
