Bathing suit help
What is an appropriate bathing suit for a soon to be 46-year-old woman. On my honeymoon two years ago I did wear a bikini but I was definitely thinner than I am now. I am working on my summer body as I have two trips coming up one in July and one in November but I would like to lose the weight anyway. I'm pretty thin although when I gain weight it's all in my stomach. So far I ordered and received two one pieces but they're pretty sexy and have cut outs but I've never worn a one piece in my life so it's making me feel a little bit older. Are High waisted bikinis a thing? Or do I lose the weight and go for the regular bikini? Also I do want to not be one of those trying to look like im 20. I definitely look younger than my age but I am still 45. My husband is younger then me so I would like to still try and have that sex appeal . I never had these issues even after my kids. Only when I turned 40 :(

Re: Bathing suit help
This is going to sound so cliche but. Wear whatever you're comfortable in! One day may be a one piece. Once day may be a 2 piece. It's hard to tell someone what to wear because bathing suits are so different on every body. I'm 49 and wore only bikinis on my vacation in Nov. One was a little more high waisted than the others. That actually made me feel.the least sexy. I do have a 1 piece that I love but I really wanted to work on my tan so I didn't take it with
The way I go about it is. No matter how hard I try there will always be someone that looks better than me and someone that will look worse. So I just embrace it. And go with what I like.

Re: Bathing suit help
There is no appropriate bathing suit for a 46 year old woman. What's appropriate is what looks good on your body- regardless if you are 20 or 50. I have seen 50 year olds rocking bikinis with better bodies than 20 year olds. I have seen 20 year olds that had no business wearing the string bikini they were wearing.
Try on a bunch and wear what you like and what YOU feel comfy in. Age doesn't come in to play . At all

Re: Bathing suit help
age is so not a factor here!
i'm 44, i would have NO problem wearing a bikini, except i don't because of my rather flabby stomach
Wear what you feel good in, wear what makes you feel sexy.. a woman who feels sexy always looks better than a woman who looks like she's uncomfortable in what she's wearing.
