Completely agree. It was such an odd episode. Last week was definitely a better ending

Yeah, it was a weird epilog. I get that Hannah was finally realizing that she couldn't be selfish when she came across that spoiled girl, but it would have been nice if the episode was only a few minutes at the end of last week's show.

I agree. I was actually bored throughout the finale. And I don't think any episode has ever bored me before.

I really liked both endings. This weeka ending was an unexpected ending and I loved how it went black and you just heard her with Grover. I'm going miss this show. I know a lot of people don't like Lena or Girls but I think the show was well done and the characters were strange but real.

I don't know why I watched this because I hate Lena and all the characters.
The ending was ridiculous. So unrealistic.
Universities don't hire mediocre blog writers to be professors. Those are extremely difficult jobs and adjunct teachers etc do not make enough money to have that big house, etc.
Marni just moved in and was a free nanny? Who paid for all that wine she was drinking?
Hannah is an immature, spoiled brat. She will be a terrible mother.
This show was ridiculous.

I was so so on the show in general but enjoyed more and more as time went on. I actually really loved this last season. One question is wtf happened with adam??? They reunited for a day and then in the diner they started crying and he left and went back to Jessa. What was that, did I miss something?

I was also slightly confused by this. I agree with others that the 2nd to last episode should have ended it all.
I am a late comer to this series and recently binge watched to catch up.

I agree. I feel like the 2nd to last episode wrapped things up with all of them but I liked that the last episode wrapped up what happens when she has the baby.
We thought the finale was hysterical. Naming the baby Grover was great. I felt like the whole season was the most like season 1 and funny again where it had gotten a little too dark for a few seasons.

Absolutely awful.
I watched the show from the first episode- I always thought it was a fairly accurate portrayal of twenty something ooo transplants in the city. The second to last episode was great and I thought ending it as the girls are no longer friends was the perfect, realistic ending.
I thought it was a terrible note to end on. And really, the bf-ing? Those noises were unnecessary.

Hated it!
All I got from it was don't have kids they ruin your lives, all your friends suck and you can walk around pantless in the "country"
What a waste of a series I really loved

I guess I'm the odd man out because I enjoyed it! Yes the episode before should have been the finale episode, but I understand why this was the last one. I found it to be very relatable and I can see it being comforting for a woman to watch who may be in Hannah's shoes. Feeling inadequate and like a horrible parent is very real and very common and is not often talked about.
Also the exchange between Hannah and her mom was very poignant to me.
All in all this was the best season IMO.
