Open Market Queestion
I'm new to applying to openings via Open Market. I sent my interest to the openings I wanted to apply to. So I'm wondering a few things:
How do principals contact you? (Email, call, something special on open market)
About how long to Jobs stay posted before you're contacted?
How long does it typically take for a P to contact you?
How long did it take you to find a job on open market?
Does anyone know how an admin sees people applying for positions on open market? Like does it just go to their emails?
I'm used to emailing P's directly my resume and cover letter so this is a little different for me.
TIA!!!

Email the principal's directly in addition to applying through the open market. They will see your email sooner than they would see your open market application. They get a ton through there.
I didnt have any luck through there, but I did have luck when I emailed directly. Got a job in a great district in Queens, and I don't think I would have gotten it if I didn't email directly

Walk your resume in after school. In my opinion, if you get face time with a principal you have a better chance.
