Period weirdness

I've always been super regular (with an occasional early or late period). But the last two months have been totally irregular. I went to gyn after the first weird one and everything was normal. She even tested my thyroid and it was normal. Pap, internal exam normal. The dr didn't really give an explanation but was not concerned about one weird period.

Now the next cycle - I'm very late (and not preg). Apparently I ovulated (per the dr when she was doing my exam almost three weeks ago). Had normal pms symptoms which came and went away (wtf?) - yet no period yet.

I'm 36- could it just be an age thing? Weird hormones? I also flew to Europe last night and now being far from home is making me extra uneasy. I am just so sick of periods stressing me out. Guys have no idea how easy they have it.

Around that age I started getting weirdness also. Skipping full months, etc. Now at 40 I am more regular, but not as regular as I was when I was younger.

It''s an age thing.
I remember actually becoming more regular.
Now I'm 50. Haven't had one in 6 months, of course I get it now while on a beach vacation.
Can't wait to be done already.

Thanks ladies. AF finally came - better late than never. Seems like the nest 10-15 years are going to be loads of fun
