wedding guest dress - short or long?
I haven't been to wedding in a while. Do wedding guests wear long dresses? It is a Saturday night wedding at a county club in Smithtown (stonebridge, I think.)

wedding guest dress - short or long?
I would only wear a long dress if the invitation said it was black tie. (Or the beach wedding that I went to and wore a maxi dress)

I usually wear a short cocktail dress. However, the last 2 weddings I went to, one on a Friday night and one on a Saturday night, many of the guests had long dresses on.

Some do. You certainly could if you prefer to. I feel more comfortable in cocktail length so that's what I would wear.

I think you can do either. I am going to a wedding on a Friday night, black tie optional, and wearing a long dress.

wedding guest dress - short or long?
I've done long for the last couple of non-black tie weddings I've been to and didn't feel out of place or anything (never even thought about it, honestly).
