Xpost: private speech therapy sessions
We recently had our toddler evaluated for speech and the therapists said there is only a slight mild delay and doesn't qualify for services. Since there is a slight delay we were thinking of looking into private speech therapy. Can anyone make any recommendations for private speech therapy? Does this go through our health insurance? Anything we should ask or know ahead of time? We're new to this so any info is appreciated.
Thanks!

My friend's DD had private speech therapist. However, her insurance (which is a high deductible plan) did not cover the therapy. I asked her and she referred me to this website:

Yes sometimes insurance does cover You may need to meet the deductible anyway If you haven't met it this year I would suggest you do it next year so insurance will pay something once deductible is met Look to see who accepts your insurance and try to get therapy with them Some insurances also have out of network benefits but you must meet out of network deductible ..
