Turkey... What brand?
If you usually buy turkey from a store (not from a farm), what brand do you usually purchase? Are there any brands that aren't any good and should be avoided?
Thanks!

Re: Turkey... What brand?
My mom always buys Empire Turkey. Kosher turkeys are already brined so nice and juicy.

I LOVE Norbest. They are a little harder to find but SOOOOOO good. Always moist and tender.

I've never heard of this brand before. Where would you find this? Or do you have to order online? Their website didn't indicate what stores carry their product...

They are the BEST! They use to sell them everywhere, there are harder to find nowadays. My DH's company gives them out to everyone for Thanksgiving. I believe that Giunta's Meat Farms carries them.

You can also get them from Farmingdale Meat Market. It's the only kind we make!

Re: Turkey... What brand?
I used to buy Shady Brook every year. And while they were always good; I wanted to change it up.
This year I wanted organic; so I tried to get a B&E. The store was out and gave me another organic kind. Miller's?? It was Eh.
I am definitely going with Norbest next year.
