I agree. I don’t like their other sauces, though.
But their bread. OMG THE BREAD!!! It is SO good.

Re: Best store bought pesto?
I haven't really found one that is nearly as good as homemade. You can't beat the flavor of fresh basil, the jar versions have so many other preservatives in it.
Try making your own, it's SO easy and takes minutes. Plus you can freeze leftovers so you always have some on hand. Pour it into ice cube trays, cover with a little olive oil and freeze.
I have an easy recipe on my food blog if you're interested. FRESH BASIL PESTO

I like Barilla, but I’m not sure they sell that in the US.

I don’t eat it but DH loves it. I buy this one as well but I doctor it up.
Sautee garlic in some olive oil, then add the pesto , extra grated locatelli pecorino romano and some fresh basil leaves. He says it makes a difference.
Also I add the pasta to the pan the pesto is in with a little bit of pasta water.

Alessi
This is what I usually use too, but I recently bought Trader Joe's brand and I'm going to give that a try this week.

UPDATE: I tried the TJ's brand the other day and I much prefer the Alessi.

Re: Best store bought pesto?
in a pinch I use Costcos.
I sometimes make a quick meal with salmon, some pesto, a bit of lemon juice, salt and pepper and lay it on a bed of Asparagus in foil warp.
