Closing estimate
Hi! We’re in the process of selling our house, the appraisal came in and the title. We are waiting for the survey and CO’s search to come back.We have an on or about date of February 19th. I know it can go 30 days past that but we’re moving to nc and my husband found out his start date is also February 19th. Does anyone know how much longer this normally takes once these 2 things are in.. I’m told it shouldn’t take too much longer to come in. we really want to close here and down there within days of each other and I don’t want to have to stay up here with my 4 year old and 4 month old alone while they husband is down there.
Sorry for the long post

Closing estimate
It's hard to give an estimate, because it depends on a lot of different people. Once the survey and CO search are in, it could be a week or it could be another 3-4 weeks. It depends on how quick the buyer's lender is, if the buyer has everything into the bank, if there are any issues with the CO search or the survey, etc. The best thing you can do now is have your attorney and real estate agent inquire if the buyers are ready to go when these last few things come in and make sure that the buyers are on the same page about closing ASAP.

Re: Closing estimate
I spoke to my attorney today the CO came in and it’s all good. Last week the buyer said he submitted everything the bank(TFCU) needed from him. I’m praying we’re almost done

Re: Closing estimate
Its really up to the bank - sometimes they come back and ask for more information. we just closed and it took the buyer almost 30 days after the on or about date. It was the bank holding things up with more paperwork. Good Luck

Check and see if you can give your attorney POA to sign the papers. When we bought our house the sellers weren’t even here.

Re: Closing estimate
You can give your attorney a limited power of attorney to complete the closing and wire you your money without you being at the closing. You should not have to stay in NY to complete the closing. Speak with your attorney.
