We're trying to plan a last minute trip for February break to do a couple of days in Universal.
DH will be down there before me and I am going to fly with my son and we'll meet him, but it looks like I will be coming back first, so DS will then come back with DH a day later.
Long story as to why but part of it is that I'm a teacher and I don't really want to take that Monday we are supposed to come back.
Will I have any issues flying alone with DS on what will essentially be a one way ticket?
Obviously I can show them a copy of everyone's return tickets, but just making sure this won't be an issue and I really can't find a direct answer online, at least for domestic flights.

No, because no one bats an eye at what kind of ticket you have. Your boarding passes at the TSA check points don't say if you have a one way or round trip ticket.

No there won't be an issue since it's domestic. I always carry my child birth certificate to show proof I am his parent.
If it was international you would need a letter from the other parent, or maybe that is only when you are getting their passport.
