Anyone ever do a helicopter tour from Vegas to the Grand Canyon? There are so many I don't know what to choose from.
The only one we know we don't want to do is the doors off one because we'd like to avoid having an anxiety attack up there
ETA: How far ahead did you book it? Would love to wing it but afraid they fill up.

I did one about ten years ago so I don't know if much has changed. We did the bus from Vegas, quick stop at the Hoover dam, then on to the western rim. We took a helicopter into the canyon and then did a short boat ride. It was cool but it had a bit of the cheesy tourist feel. They were planning the skywalk but it hadn't been constructed yet. The main thing I remember was it was August so the floor of the canyon and the boat ride were stifling!

Thank you! We're ok on weather because it'll be February and if it gets us out of the casinos for a day we can probably deal with cheesy. I'm praying it's a fluke and it's pool weather which happened the last two years that same weekend!

It's definitely fun. I've been to the north rim since and it's just a very different feel going to the west rim bc you're on an Indian reservation. They had a little show and village where they did lunch. Again, kind of cheesy but so different than going to a national park which I liked.
