How do you know?
With all the therapies, supplements and theories regarding Autism I'm wonder how you know if you are doing the right thing for your child.
Through research and attendance at SEPTA, etc, I have heard differing opinions regarding "biomedicine" and diet. Some swear by it, other state that they were unsuccessful.
I also feel that DS should be receiving more at school but too be honest I have no idea what to ask for and how to determine if he is getting all the therapy, help, etc at school that he will need to be successful.
Anyone have any thoughts, advice? I feel like I am navigating as I go which may be detrimental to my son.
TIA

How do you know?
I think that is the question everyone with a special needs child asks all the time. How do you know? In all honesty I don't think you ever know. You just keep trying to see what works and what doesn't.
Autism is such a broad spectrum that what works for one does not work for another. For us, diets and supplements did not work. But we did try it. I have friends that it has helped wonders.
What type of class and therapies is your son getting now?
