Tights?
Do people still wear tights?
I put on a dress today for work with tall boots. I needed to wear something on my legs so I put tights on.
Did I totally date myself?

People still wear tights!
Having said that though, I have several dresses that look great with tights and others (due to color or style) that look better with a bare leg (or nude pantyhose)
Basically I will wear black tights or taupe for certain outfits.
The dress I have on today...does not look good with tights so I am bare legged

So just as an example. This is what I am wearing today. I don't think this would look good with tights.
But I also have this dress, that I feel like you could get away with black tights with.

The Ralph Lauren dresses. I have them too.
Black tights look awful with the light gray dress. I usually wear stockings with that dress.
I have a solid black one, and I wear black tights.

This year I have been going bare when I can't wear tights like with the dress i have on today.
I just use Sally Airbrush legs and get in my car and go.
If I have to commute to the city and stand on the train platform I wear fleece lined leggings under it for the commute and take them off in the office.
I used to wear super sheer nude hose but to be honest they didn't add all that much more warmth for the discomfort and hassle of wearing them.

In the winter I pretty much only wear dresses/skirts that I can wear tights with. Way too cold for bare legs!
(and I have a couple of the Ralph Lauren dresses too. Love them. They are so comfortable and a timeless style - but I only wear them in the summer, because I can't wear the ones I have with tights)

Same. I have some wrap dresses that I wont' wear until I can go bare legged. Even if I wore leggings for the commute, my office is way too cold anyways.

LOL... in my LI office I blast a space heater on my legs and my city office is as hot(and dry) as the Sahara desert so I don't have that issue!

My office is freezing, so I just only wear the dresses that can be worn with tights this time of year! Plus even going from house to car would be too much for me bare legged now....I freeze when it's below 60 degrees!!!

Tights?
I go bare legged all winter if something doesn’t look quite right with tights. Because in reality stocking are not keeping you warm. Moisturize and go.

Love these dresses. Where did you purchase them?
Macys. They are Ralph Lauren. Bloomingdales carries RL also. The grey one I have in a sleeveless version with the exact print but in navy for summer. LOVE them. So forgiving if you are bloated.
Not sure if they are still in stock

I refer to tights season as the most wonderful time of the year. If they ever go out of fashion you’ll need to pry them from my cold, dead hands.
I’d wear stockings (GASP) with that gray dress, which I love btw. I agree black tights would not look good with that.

I would wear stockings with it too- I just stopped this year because I can't deal with them anymore. Its like wearing a girdle!
But yes you can wear stockings with it, but the color scheme makes black tights a no go with it.
