Is this ok for 6 year old gift?
My daughter has two parties to go to. One is her "best" friend and the other is in her Daisy troop. Her mother and I are co leaders. Anyway I wanted to spend a little more on these little girls. My daughter wants to get them each a headband craft kit (about $15.00) and I was going to give them each a $30 target gift card. Is the gift card rude for a 6 year old? Like should I just give them toys with gift receipt?

thats perfect. My son is 7, and thats usually what i do for parties he goes to. Gives the kid something to open, and also gives them the chance to pick something out for themselves. but $45 total seems like a lot for a non family kids birthday gift... ( i usually spend closer to $25/$30) you don't want to make the parents feel awkward if they can't give that much to DD when its her turn (unless they already have, in which case don't listen to me HAHA)

Agree about amount being on the high end. You could probably do a $20 gc
My kids love getting gift cards and we usually give for gifts at bday parties

I always give gift cards. I recently went to a party for my daughters friend who turned 5 and gave a Michaels gift card. The mother thanked me and told me her daughter loved it. I give Disney, Target and now Michaels.

I usually give 30.00 even though I am told that can be too much. I never know how much to give.

Gift cards are the best! I would do $20 gc and the kit. That was around the amount we exchanged at that age. DS is 12 now and the amount is up to $50
