Large foyer/entryway - paint color
The house I’m buying has a fairly wide/large entryway/foyer/hallway. The living room is off one side of the entryway and the dining room is on the other side and then the entryway continues on past those two rooms. Not sure what colors I will be painting those 2 rooms, but they will be a color, not a white or off white. Possibly a sage green or green based grey type color. What color would you paint the entryway area? I don’t want to use the same color as I use in the LR and DR. I’m thinking a grey, but would love to hear some other ideas. And if you think grey is the way to go, any recommendations for a warm shade of grey? Thanks

Re: Large foyer/entryway - paint color
Behr Cathedral gray is nice. It's a medium grey, not too blueish, not too dark. Just warm, medium grey.
Behr paint is great if you get the Premium Plus Ultra one- IMO that formula the same as BM in terms of quality. (it's the paint and primer in one but we always prime first anyway)

Re: Large foyer/entryway - paint color
We have BM grey owl. I actually used it in our entryway, living room, dining room, den, and up through the upstairs hallway. People usually don’t believe it’s all the same color because it looks different depending on how the light hits it.

Re: Large foyer/entryway - paint color
My husband always uses BM Harbor Grey in his houses. We just used it in our basement and it is a nice, neutral color.

Re: Large foyer/entryway - paint color
Grey is very popular right now, like Edgecomb gray, or revere pewter, but I am really not a fan of most grey wall colors because it feels like a sad color and when I walk into my home I want to be happy, so I prefer a yellow or oyster kind of color. I think if you paired the entry with a blue, teal is popular and so is navy, pink, or green that will brighten it up.
My entry is an oyster color with navy.

Re: Large foyer/entryway - paint color
BM Edgecomb Gray or SW Agreeable Gray. They are both a neutral gray/beige (greige).
