Gift for sellers?
I know it is far from customary for a buyer to get a gift for the sellers, but the people I am buying my house from have been so nice and they are just very sweet and a bit emotional about selling the house they have lived in for over 50 yrs. I was thinking I might like to get them a small gift to give them at closing - but would that be too weird? And if not, any ideas on what to get for them? (I thought about just giving them flowers, but that means they would have to be able to find a vase in their new home, which might not be so easy right after they've moved lol)

Gift for sellers?
I would maybe do flowers or a gift card to a restaurant in their new town Iif you know where they are moving too? We didn’t get our sellers anything but there was wine and a card on our counter waiting for us when we walked into our home after it was ours

Re: Gift for sellers?
I have no idea how much it costs, but I've seen realtors give their clients a water color picture of their home framed.

Re: Gift for sellers?
We adored our sellers. They were the nicest people ever and had a wonderful connection to them. We are still friends with them actually! I purchased a religious walll decor. They are very religious people and it matched the other decor they had in the home.

Re: Gift for sellers?
Might be too much but a few sellers on Etsy make handmade ornaments of houses.

Re: Gift for sellers?
In the past, when I've given seller clients gifts, I have given something to help them remember the house.
Even an 8 by 10 photo of it in a nice frame is a sweet gesture, so they can take that memory to their new home. Or a photo book (the kind that you can order from photo sites or even CVS or Walgreen's).
