Primer
Ok. So I usually never had to wear it before putting on makeup, but lately I noticed my makeup is not staying as smooth as I'd like. Any advise? Any good primer recommendation? I went to MAC to get my usual liquid foundation and powder and they gave me a sample primer. Maybe with my allergies or more sun my makeup isn't staying on as well.
I do moisturize everyday in the morning and at night.

Re: Primer
I watched a YouTube video that said to put a bit of powder on before the foundation. Then powder after.
I tried it and it worked. It kept my foundation on all day. I only use this for really long days.

Re: Primer
I don't know. I use primer because I feel like I am "supposed" to, but I am not sure it does anything for me. Hence why I have never bought the same primer more than once. I jump around from brand to brand from type to type trying to find that holy grail. I feel like they are all the same shit.
And it doesn't do anything for my makeup longevity to be honest.

Exactly! Primer is a waste of money, I think. I think the one good primer is for your eye shadow.
If you do the powder before, then you have one less product to buy, and less clutter to your bathroom. It needs to be loose powder, though.
OP: tell us how it works out for you!

Urban Decay setting spray is GOLD
I think I must be the only person on the planet that that doesn't work for. I have bought and returned it twice. It did absolutely nothing for me in terms of making my make up last a minute longer and in fact dried my skin out and made my make up look terrible. But everyone on the planet raves about it so it could very well be my effed up skin!

Re: Primer
they have an oil control one which is also good.
how many times did you spray?
in the beginning i was only spraying maybe 3-4 sprays it wasn't enough you need like 5-6 all over the face.

Yes i have dry skin so I avoid oil control anything. Maybe I didn't spray enough. I did want to try it again because of all the great reviews. I might pick it up at Ulta because they have a great return policy

Primer
I haven’t found a primer that does anything for me but I got a sample of Marc Jacobs coconut primer and I love it. I definitely noticed a difference today when using it.
