Another Question for the IVFer's.......UPDATE
DH and I have been talking about this a lot lately.
We dont have our IVF interview till next week, but DH is dead set on ONLY tranfering 1 embryo. He is so terrified it will split and triplets will occur.
I would LOVE twins (my dad is one) I want to tranfer 2 just to increase the chance.
How did you decide? That is if my eggs fertilize which we will see if that is the problem, because I have an unexplained diagnosis.

My thought is to up my chances as much as possible, I was told that I could possibly have 4 transferred! 
I do have different issues than you though (FSH) but that is our plan going forward.
I know it's a hard decision but I would personally want to transfer at least 2.
My DH and I are on board with this but he also understands that I am the one becoming the pin cushion and taking all the meds

Thanks Donna, Im trying to convince him of this, that our chances are better. He completely knows this has been a LOOOONG 2 years, and I wish there was something I can say to convince him. We have been on the same boat for so long, and he has been so supportive.

My belief is whats meant to be is meant to be. If you're going to have twins, you're going to have them whether you tx one embryo or 4 embryos...
On a side note, I was given really high odds of getting pg by my first RE, and here I am 20 embryos transferred later, and no baby. Not trying to scare you, but keep that in mind....

DH does not want 2 embryos transferred even though the chances of getting PG are better. I told him that our insurance only covers 4 IVF cycles per lifetime, so I really don't want to only transfer one embryo and not have it take. Our chances are better doing two.
And like Lisa was saying, there's no guarantee that you'll get PG on your first try. I'd rather take our chances on twins than waste an IVF cycle.

well, had a nother talk with DH while on the boat. Had to get him in a good mood, and I just laid it out, and said Im NOT messing around. I want to get pg on the first try and not going to max out our IVF coverage. So, he said, do you want to tranfer 2 eggs, and I said YES!!!!!
So, it looks like we are FINALLY on the same wagon
