Hershey Park
We are thinking of doing this for a quick vacation next year. My only time there I was 15 and went with Music in the Parks with my high school. DH has been there twice. When do they open for the season? Is two days long enough of a stay? We were thinking of staying at the Hershey Lodge. Anything else to do in the area? Thanks!

Two days is great - you also get a preview 3 hours before the park closes the day before you use your ticket.
They open on weekends in April and during the week in June. I recommend going during the week if possible, it gets crowded on weekends.
We bought season passes for this year so we went in June and July. June was nice because it wasn’t that hot or crowded. July was nice because we were able to use the water park but it was sooo hot.

Re: Hershey Park
Like the PP said, do a one day ticket and do the free preview the night before. I think that's enough, especially considering Chocolate World.
Go when the water area is open in case it's hot. There is no breeze, no shade, etc. I always find it broiling there.
There's not much else to do in the area unless you travel a little - i.e. Lancaster, Harrisburg.

Re: Hershey Park
We did 2 days in the park. We didn't do the preview.
We drove up and got there early the first day- went to breakfast, checked into hotel (they happened to have our room ready at 930 am- so bonus) and hit the park for dry rides.
Spent all day doing dry rides. Left by 4 ish- we were exhausted. It is HOT in July and a TON TON TON of walking and all uphill it seems.
2nd day did Chocolate World at 9 am- they open at 9. Then went to park for 10 am opening. Did the waterpark. The waterpark was great but by noon time got insanely crowded- it was a really hot day. So we left, had lunch in the park and did more dry rides.
2 days was perfect

Re: Hershey Park
We've done Hershey in 2 days plenty of time. Love it! Go early after breakfast, check in (we don't stay in Hershey), then go to Hershey World and walk around and do the ride, go to the brewery place for dinner (and drinks for us... LOL), and then do preview night. Go back and crash at the hotel. The hotel has breakfast then off to Hershey park and the whole day we're there. It's a little over 2 hours from us so we leave after dinner and home by 9 - 10'ish. Between the preview and all day we did plenty.
