Vacation Help
I'm looking for something to do in March, local-ish to NY... for a day or 1-2 nights max that would feel like a vacation without the cost. Even like a restaurant with a gorgeous waterview or just something special. Anything that would make me feel special or like a tourist for the day without having to spend an arm and a leg or do much packing/traveling. Any ideas?!?

NYC? Go do touristy things and eat in some excellent restaurant or someplace with a great view?

Vacation Help
I did that last winter with Mystic CT. The hotel rates were inexpensive and there were a lot of cute, local restaurants, things to see, etc. Taking the ferry over from Orient made it feel like a vacation. And if you feel like it at night, Mohegan Sun/concert arena are only about 20 minutes away for nightlife.

How much is the ferry if you bring your car?

I would go to a B&B in the Catskills.

Maybe do the highline or something like that. Or go downtown to Tribeca- lots of nice options there
