Losing a lot of hair
Ladies i'm 37 years old and i feel like the past few weeks i'm losing a lot of hair. I don't know why.
I lost a ton of hair after i gave birth, each time- for about 6 months and then it stopped.
I honestly feel like that right now but i don't have a baby. I'm actually worried about how much i'm losing.
Anyone have any idea why i might be? should i be worried?
I have an appt with my doctor on the 15th so i'll ask him then. Just not sure if i should call him before that.

Re: Losing a lot of hair
Could be your thyroid. Ask for bloodwork.

This. Go to your PCP and let them know what’s happening. They will do all the necessary blood work to see if anything like that c an be causing it.
I just went thru all of this but all of my results were normal. He said I can see a derm if I wanted to. My sis said it happened to her when she started peri menopause. I think that’s what’s happening with me too.

How did your appointment go?
I am late to this post, but this happened to me a few months ago. Every time I'd run my hands through my hair, a ton would come out. Like, a LOT. It passed after several days - has yours stopped? I did not see a dr., but my hairdresser said it's totally normal to go through a major "shedding" phase here and there. Hopefully yours is just that simple!

Honestly i think it was my Lymes Disease rearing it's ugly head. My knees starting hurting shortly after. I started doxy and it seems to have gotten much better with the hair and everything else since.
Thanks for asking!

Oh man, sorry to hear that - but glad it's been much better!
