Is it reasonable to have a 4pm BBB reservation (at the springs, not MK), and dinner at 1900 park fare at 630pm? Using disney transportation for everything. And if it matters, we are bringing our own dress and DD will be doing the basic package at BBB

Yes because you will just take the bus from Disney Springs directly to the Grand Floridian

I think so. Our experience was long (over an hour) at BBB at Disney Springs. We expected 30-45 minutes.

Assuming yours is an hour and a half including pictures and all... still gives you an hour for transportation!

another question: What about doing everything at the ivy trellis salon at the grand floridian instead of doing BBB?

I just saw someone post about this with their older child in a FB group. Honestly, I don't think little kids would like it very much. It looks very low key compared to BBB, and more of a salon experience than a "Princess" type experience.

Yea i've heard the same. I kinda want to try to just stick with BBB, but our flight gets in at 12:45pm that same day (probably should have been mentioned in my OP, lol)... so we get in a little before 1pm, appt at BBB in the springs at 4pm, and then 1900 park fare by 630 might be too much... Should I just try to bump my BBB reservation to like 430 or 5pm, and then make a reservation for dinner in the springs and skip out on the princess dining that night all together?

Are you taking Magical Express from the airport? We have had times where it has taken about 2 hours from landing to getting to the resort. Depends on what stop you are, and how long they wait to fill up the bus. So, with that aspect..I feel like it's a lot for one day!

yea we are taking the magical express... ok i think we are going to do something in the springs instead that night, but we will still do BBB since we will be there anyway. There really isn't another day to do it. We are doing Akershus, but it's towards the end of the trip (epcot is the 2nd to last day) and i feel like it's a waste to do BBB at the end... We are going to MK the day after we arrive, and it will be our first park of the trip, so maybe DD can sleep w/ the hair done and have it last throughout the MK park day...

You are flying that day?!?!
I think just BBB is a lot. There are plenty of nice restaurants at Disney Springs, and we had reservations at a steakhouse that we missed since our appointment took so long (luckily I only got a nasty email from open table and not fined). We ended up going to the Ghiardelli ice cream shop for dinner (ICE CREAM for dinner!!!) and I think it may have been our favorite night in Disney.

When are you going? In winter, they had a whole Christmas tree walk through with snow that opened the night we did our hair (after ice cream) and our fairy “godmother” partied with us at the grand opening. They had Santa, characters and more. It was a total surprise to us and to their “crew members”. Honestly, we did do a princess dinner at the castle the next day. It wasn’t THAT great and the kids weren’t really into it. (Ages 2-7 at the time) The individual character interactions (like Aladdin), though they had a wait, were MUCH more fun and interactive. Aladdin, Ariel and Rapunzel have always been the best IMO with conversation that engages my older kids. Aladdin and my son were talking about favorite games (my son’s is temple run) and it was really hysterical.

The hair (we did a princess bun), definitely lasted until the next day in MK without any extra care! They gave me a few extra Bobby pins.

Honestly, the BBB thing at Disney Springs was the best! It was well worth it and, although it may have been just luck with a great fairy godmother, it will be one of those things I will forever remember. Funny, we’ve been to Disney a bunch of times... but only a few of the experiences hit this for me! Don’t rush it or crowd it with other things!

Haven't booked our flights yet but we were planning on doing this our first day, BBB reservation for my daughter but then a restaurant at Disney Springs... just know that it can take 2 hours to get from the airport to the hotel via magical express.

Thanks for this! Super helpful... We are going to ask the TA to move BBB to aorund 430 just in case, maybe even 5. We made a reservation at the rainforest cafe at 6:15 so we will stay in the springs for the night. That should give us plenty of time to do what we need to do, and we can go back to the resort after that to get to bed. I'm sure we will be exhausted! We will see the princesses at MK the following day hopefully :)

Also, we are going in the winter, but not around christmas time. We leave 1/31 and stay until 2/5. When it gets closer, I will check the events @ the springs and see if anything is going on that night
