I got really bad cramps on and off when I went off last year - it could be O cramping.

I didn't have crampiong mid-cycle, but then again, my period lasted 15 days!!!!

I did have some strange cramping at times when I normally wouldn't and it took a few months for my cycle to regulate and I did feel differently then when I was taking BCP. I started getting AF every 24 days...then it stretched to 28....I would spot and then get it really heavy.
I think what you are going through is probably a result of stopping the BCP. It will get better....

Your cycle sounds similar to my first cycle off BCP. My first one was short, 17 days, and then lots of cramping around the next O-time. I was regular (28/29days) after my first short cycle.

I had pain like that about a week and a half ago, I think I might have been ovulating.

Things can be "out of whack" for a while but that pain could be an ovulation pain. I was on BCP for 8 years so when I felt that pain, I had no idea why.
