Does anybody make these? If so, how??

So I finally made them last night after hearing such great things about them. I followed the instructions exactly and sautee'd them with butter. Ummm, the consistency was REALLY weird, like gooey. My kids wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole lol, but that's another topic for another day.

The thing is, my husband and I actually thought they were yummy, so I'd like to attempt to make them again. Does anybody have any tips? TIA

I like them. I dont make them how it says to on the bag - I saw a method on instagram - I put a little olive oil in a pan, then sautee them for a couple of minutes. Then I put 2 or so table spoons of water in a pan, cover until the water evaporates. Then I sautee them for a couple of more minutes. They are much firmer this way.

Re: Trader Joe's Cauliflower Gnocchi

don't follow the instructions LOL.
I saw on Lexi's Clean Kitchen's Instagram. Defrost them or put them in the microwave for 3-4 minutes
Pat Dry
Put them in a hot pan with butter or olive oil. Let them cook and get seared, do not touch them.
Wait a couple of minutes an then flip them over and cook so the other side gets seared and alittle crispy and then add sauce and you are done.
they come out amazing this way!!!

I just took them straight from the freezer to the frying pan which I sprayed with the Trader Joes EVOO mist. I enjoyed them.

Yes. I sauté and then add whatever sauce I'm going to use into the pan.

I love them.

I tried to pick these up for DH and they said I needed to add my name to the wait list. Are they really that good?

I saw them this weekend at the Lake Grove location and they had plenty.
They are not low carb though so I don't get the allure of the whole cauliflower thing. They have potato starch and cassava flour . I'd rather eat the real deal in that case

I recently had them and hated them....The Gorgonzola was too strong for me and the gnocchi itself was chewy
Maybe i did something wrong (i don’t think i did)
I wanted to love them!

Wait, here's the ingredient:

INGREDIENTS:
CAULIFLOWER, CASSAVA FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, SEA SALT.

What am I missing in terms of Gorgonzola??

There is a Gorgonzola gnocchi that TJ makes. That is probably what she is talking about. I had to get them since they were out of the cauliflower ones. I got for DH since he likes Gorgonzola. The cheese comes in a separate bag that you add as you are cooking the gnocchi. Looked like white cheddar but tasted like Gorg. Chat Icon

They were ok.....

The Gorgonzola gnocchi is delicious and does not taste like gorzonzola at all to me. Even my 3 year old will eat it without complaint. It’s more like an Alfredo sauce, IMO.

That one is not cauliflower based though right? Its regular gnocchi?

Nope the Gorgonzola is the regular. The cauliflower doesn’t have any sauce on it. They also have a gnocchi sorrentino with regular gnocchi which is disgusting and a sweet potato gnocchi that’s ok.

It’s really sad that I’m so well versed on TJ’s gnocchi selection Chat Icon
