Haircut
DD is 3 and I haven’t cut her hair yet. She has fine, whispy hair that is about 50 different lengths. I was thinking of cutting into a chin length bob. Is this weird? I would let it grow once it’s evened out because she’ll need a bun for her dance recital in June. I feel like every little girl I see has really long hair that has never been cut. Is 3 young for a haircut?

Re: Haircut
My daughter has long fine hair but I do get it trimmed so it's healthy and even. She got her first haircut around 2 years old. She is 4.5 now.

Haircut
I had DD hair trimmed once and she turned 2 in Nov. I fthought it made the waves in her hair look better. Her bangs get trimmed every few weeks so it's not in her eyes. She hates clips and ponytails

Haircut
My daughter got her first cut at 1 year old and a trim around 2 years old. It looks fine now but if her hair is uneven after her hair is brushed when wet we will got for another trim.

Re: Haircut
So this is what i learned...for my Dd and myself as well... long hair for the sake of long hair isn't good. If the hair is nice and thick and grow ls iin evenly and looks good long, great. However, if it's fine, wispy and just a hot mess you aren't doing any favors by having it long. You will be amazed how much better it looks, how much thicker and more of a style it will have if you cut it. The difference on my DDs fine and wispy and flat hair that had no style and would look like we didn't brush it 2 seconds after brushing it was night and and day. AND it grew in more evenly and thicker and fuller. I say do it! Take her to someone who knows what they are doing and will give her a good haircut. It will make a world of difference.

Re: Haircut
I don't think a 3 year old is too young to get a haircut. However I don't think you should cut it chin length if you need it to be a in a bun my June. I don't think it'll be long enough by June for a bun. Maybe cut it shoulder length instead?

Re: Haircut
DD is 3.5 and I get her hair trimmed so the ends are straight. Her hair is fine and it's still long, but looks so much better each time I get the trim.

Re: Haircut
I took my DD for a trim when she was 2.5 so I don't think it is too young.

Haircut
I took my daughter when she was 2 and it made a difference in how her hair grew. It's come in thicker for sure. She also doesn't like clips in her hair, so she has bangs right now that I just get trimmed every few weeks.
I take my kids to my hairdresser - I know that she knows what she's doing! LOL
