Skinny Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie
This is so DELISH and very filling. I tweak the recipe by omitting the honey, raisins and salt. The bananas add the perfect touch of sweetness so I don't feel the need to add the honey. If I have on hand, I will also add btwn 1/2c - 1c baby spinach.
Enjoy!

Re: Skinny Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie
Yum!!
I make something similar using my protein shake (GNC lean shake vanilla bean) but never added those extra spices - I will tomorrow !
I use my shake, ice cubes , banana , PB2 and oats. It really is a delicious shake

Re: Skinny Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie
Sounds good, although it is 7 WW points with 1 tbsp honey and no raisins. 3 WW points without honey and without raisins.

I thought it might be high in calories myself. Bananas themselves have 14 grams of sugar each, then add in the honey and the raisins and you have yourself a "skinny" sugar bomb. I'm also not seeing much protein to counteract it

I would probably add some plain non fat Fage yogurt to boost the protein and make it more of a meal replacement. I'm not big on smoothies - points really add up if you drink fruits and veggies rather than eating them. Bananas, although a bit high in sugar, are good for potassium and good carbs.

Yes I think a PP said she makes it with protein powder which can make it a better option as well. I always like to have some protein and good fats with my meals/shakes rather than just a sugar bomb. Because for me, if I eat a meal or snack that is all sugar and carbs, I am starving again an hour later. I tend to have low blood sugar, so if I eat something that's mainly sugar/carbs, my blood sugar crashes super fast.

Re: Skinny Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie
I drink 2-3x per week. Omit the honey, raisins and salt and add spinach. I sometimes also add PB2 and or vanilla protein powder. It's a meal replacement for me and leaves me full for hours.
