Walmart cakes

I hear good things about their cakes, but never bought them. I belong to Costco. While I love Costco cakes and their prices, the cake choices are boring.
I don't want to spend a fortune. Just having family over for my son's 10th birthday and want to do a soccer/basketball theme. Was going to see if they can do it.

Any advise? I hear Stop N Shop and Sams are good too. I don't belong to Sams and they are a bit further away.

Does Walmart only do the cakes on their site or could they mix it up? Thanks

ETA - want it nice without spending a fortune. Some of them are gluten free and it's not a lot of people. Just to make it special I want it more personalized bc he's 10.

Stop N Shop never disappoints. It is really easy (and cheap) too. I'd try them.

I would look at Stop and Shop or Shop Rite. Their cakes are yummy and inexpensive and they can do a variety of things, even pull apart cakes.

Is there a BJ's near you? They make really good cakes and you can choose different designs and its cheap! My DD's bday is frozen themed and I got a frozen themed cake, 1/2 a sheet I think its like $28? Can't beat that!

Re: Walmart cakes

I am in NJ and everyone time I get a Walmart cake everyone raves about it. They are surprised when I say I got it from Walmart.

ETA: I live by a super Walmart, so I usually go in and place the order. For my son's 10th bday, he did a Giants themed Cupcake "cake". For my nieces 2nd bday, I bought a two tier cake for like $50. It was Queen/King theme.

Thanks! Yes, I am in NJ too and have a Super Walmart so that's where I'm ordering from. The Stop N Shop is a bit further. I also am surprised how good their cakes are. LOL

Got a basketball Warriors cake
