Best deals on airfare? Points? Specific websites?
Now that I have to pay for 5 airline tickets everywhere we go, I am trying to figure out the best way to save money.
Right now I have a Capital One Venture card and a Southwest card. I like Southwest because I can leave right out of Islip which is super convenient for us. I'm certainly not opposed to other airlines though. But I"m not sure either card is so great given their annual fees. Any suggestions?
Or is their a website where you find good deals on airfare?

I like Skyscanner.net for good prices.
I do not know much on points because I don’t use credit cards.
However, onemileatatime.com has great reviews about points.

I have a Delta Amex, and we pay for everything with it and earn so many miles. Plus, each year they issue a companion certificate (buy one get one free) and we usually use that for a place like California, and save like $500+.
If you sign up through my referral link, you can get 70K miles after spending a certain amount and $100 statement credit. It's a pretty good deal. We often go to FL for 10-20k miles each
Also, with this Amex, you can get enroll in TSA Pre Check for free (kids 12 and under are free)
You also get free luggage, and entry to the Delta Sky Club (you have to pay, but worth it on a longgg layovers or delays)

Re: Best deals on airfare? Points? Specific websites?
DH calls me a "points whore" because I'm always trying to maximize our points. I haven't paid full price for airfare in years and we always fly either first or business class.
While I have the AMEX cards (both a regular gold and a Delta card), right now my favorite card is the Chase Sapphire Preferred. The Cap One Venture card is also really good.
While I love AMEX, they don't partner with a lot of airlines. The Delta card miles are obviously only good on Delta. The regular points card, is only good on select airlines - although you can use the "pay with points" option, it's not always the best use of miles.
Check out chase or stay with your Cap One. Most airline cards will give you the option of a credit for PreCheck or Global Entry, but really that's not worth all that much given that precheck is $85 for 5 years or $17 a year.

Honestly check out Jet blue to Hawaii. They partner with Hawaiian airlines. I’ve gotten better prices booking on jet blue for the same exact flights in Hawaiian airlines
Southwest now flies from the west coast to Hawaii so you may want to look at that also.
